Weight Loss Information
There are many myths surrounding what it takes to achieve at home weight loss. Often people go crazy with their home gym and don’t see the results they’re looking for. This article will attempt to solve some of these common misconceptions and help you on your way to a slimmer, better feeling body.
The Health Club
The Health Club is great way to get in shape and spend your hard earned money. Indeed, there is no better way to get in shape than to hire a personal trainer and meet at the gym everyday. I assure you, this will help with muscle tone and you will end up feeling better. However, there is a downside. Of course, when people join they have the intention of keeping up. Although, as time passes these intentions quickly turn into regrets. The Health Club is your best chance to fail. Why can’t I get up and go? I haven’t been to the gym in a week? I will never reach my goals.
So instead of looking and feeling better, the gym often causes depression. I don’t know about you, but I am busy with work and my family, driving to the gym everyday is not realistic.
Goals
Goals are very important. If your goals are too high, there is a greater chance of giving up. If you set it too low, you will not receive the results you’re looking for. As a rule of thumb, you should always set a goal that is absolutely achievable and has an end date. If you haven’t worked out recently, make your goal like this
Eating: I will not partake in one bad food for 90 days. This could be eating a healthier breakfast or cutting out your afternoon snack. Believe it or not, this simple change could have dramatic affects.
Exercise: I’m going to workout for 30 minutes per day, two days per week, for the next three months. Once again, this goal is achievable and you will receive results.
Learning: On every step of your journey, you should learn all you can. We have all received a load of bad information over the years. There are hundreds of programs and books, some work so don’t. However, they are all pretty cheap and if you gain one insight from each program or book, over time you will become an expert. Try to go through one program per three month period. However, no matter what the program suggests never do anything that is not 100% achievable.
After 90 days, reflect on what you did and set a new goal. You should not jump into a 5-day a week routine yet. Just add a bit to each category. Try to get rid of one more bad food and add one additional day to your workout routine. This second goal should also expire in 90 days.
Keep a log; it is very motivational to see where you have been at the end of the year.
